It's been a while since
I've seen the sunset.
Where have you gone?
Why do you hide?
Can you not find me?

Maybe if I can learn
to live for me,
and not for you,
to search for myself,
and not for you,
I can finally be happy
with me.

But how can I even compare
to a stunning sunset?
Perfect, yet imperfect
in every way?
I want to gaze out,
wander out of my head,
and float in this euphoria
forever.
But the sunset will set,
and I'll be just be
left with an empty darkness.
an empty darkness.

Where is my torch?
Where is my light?
I wander aimlessly in the dark,
hoping for a glimpse of hope.
I know.
Yes, I know.
The sun will rise.
It will rise again with it's majestic beauty
as it always does.
High in the sky,
shedding it's light
without a care in the world.

Rapid rays and arrays,
of continuous colour combining
life, love, and suffering.
Bringing everything from good
to evil,
in plain sight.

Then you are lost,
behind a cloud of something.
Maybe rain, maybe lightning.
But you are gone.
